WeMade Applies for Provisional Injunction — Court Battle on WEMIX Delisting Awaits

Press Reports

Practice areaCrypto & Virtual Assets

WeMade has completed applications for provisional injunctions to the big 4 exchanges to prevent the delisting of WEMIX. As a result, transactions on domestic virtual asset exchanges such as Bithumb, Upbit, Coinone, and Korbit will be paused, leaving about a week to prevent delisting. Partner attorney Ohoon Kwon commented on the issue, “The gravity of faults and damages caused by the violation of disclosure obligations, degree of consumer protection, and the standards stipulated by the exchange are the key factors in determining the fate on this issue.” Meanwhile, if the provisional injunction is dismissed, a long court battle is expected to determine whether the delisting was valid or not.
