The FSC Plans to Establish Regulatory System for Security Tokens Within This Year

The Financial Services Commission plans to announce its plans to amend the act regarding electronic securities next month regarding the issuance of security tokens and a safe distribution system to establish a pertinent regulatory system this year. Partner attorney Ohoon Kwon predicted, “Currently, it is difficult to trade securities in the form of tokens under the ‘Electronic Securities Act,’ and it can be expected that existing securities companies will participate in issuing and distributing security tokens when the Act is revised.”
