Wemade CEO Henry Chang has taken legal action to prevent the second delisting of the virtual asset WEMIX.
The token was removed from local exchanges for the second time on June 2, 2024, by the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance (DAXA), following a prior delisting in 2022.
This marks an unprecedented case in Korea's crypto history, where the same token has been delisted twice by DAXA.

Partner Oh-Hoon Kwon, a leading expert in crypto regulations, stated that the main legal issue will be whether a delisting based on a hacking incident is permitted under contract.
He also raised concerns about whether DAXA abused its dominant market position as a de facto consortium of major exchanges.
These legal arguments are expected to form the core of Wemade’s defense strategy against the delisting.
