While major developed countries are actively nurturing blockchain as a future technology, relevant discussions are still seldom held in Korea. As the market has focused on the blockchain more as a means of investment than as a future technology, some voiced that the industry’s potential has been hampered. Accordingly, demands for prompt legislation, such as launching a public-private joint task force to enact the Framework Act on Digital Assets, are increasing.
