FSC Will Be Releasing a Guide on “Security Tokens” Next Month

The Financial Services Commission (“FSC”) plans to announce guidelines for “Security Token (STO)” in January of next year, delayed from its previous schedule to release it within this year. Partner attorney Ohoon Kwon commented, “Even if the guideline partially adapts the VASP’s opinions and perspective, tangible changes are unlikely. Rather, there is a little more predictability based on the securities-like attributes.” He also predicted that the guideline will be embodying the specified existing Capital Markets Act.
