Attorney In Action, Shinyoung Choi At The Financial Consumer Protection Act Policy Symposium

Partner attorney Shinyoung Choi's experience as an in-house counsel at various IT companies, including KT Legal Affairs, US semiconductor company Synopsys, and Battle Entertainment, led her to participate in the Financial Consumer Protection Act Policy Symposium as a panelist. She expects to see changes in both practice and policy through the Symposium, and believes that this opportunity will help lawyers to showcase their abilities and contribute to society.
Partner attorney Shinyoung Choi holds various positions, including spokesperson for the Korean Bar Association, executive board member of the Korean In-House Counsel Association, executive board member of the In-House Council Forum (IHCF), and executive board member of the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL). She said that through these activities, she is simultaneously developing her abilities as a lawyer and growing from within, and emphasized that she is learning a sense of camaraderie and solidarity with society through exchanges with many great lawyers.
Recently, she has been thinking deeply about work-life balance. She shared her concerns about balancing her role at home while pursuing growth and fulfillment as a lawyer, which she noted is a common problem faced by many female lawyers.
Lastly, Partner attorney Shinyoung Choi appreciated the value of the Korean Women's Bar Association. She said that as a female lawyer, she is very grateful to have colleagues with whom she can share time and talk about life and work. She expressed her desire to grow as a better lawyer by sharing her joys and sorrows with many junior lawyers through the Korean Women's Bar Association, and expressed her deep gratitude for this opportunity and venue.
