Study on Greenwashing Penalty Regulation

Cha & Kwon Law Offices has conducted a research study on issues related to greenwashing regulations.

In recent years, as interest in ESG has been amplified and ESG-related disclosures have been mandated, there have been discussions on the introduction of greenwashing regulations for products and business activities.

In this regard, the Ministry of Environment is continuing to take measures to strengthen the effectiveness of regulations on greenwashing labeling and advertisements that mislead consumers.

To this end, we conducted a study on the introduction of a regulatory impact assessment and enforcement decree based on the existing amendments to the Act (Client: Korea Institute of Environment and Industrial Technology).

Ungchae Jung is certified as an administrative lawyer by the Korean Bar Association, holds a doctorate in commercial law from graduate school, and has published a book on ESG, so he has expertise in ESG-related regulations.

Based on this expertise, he participated in the revision stage of the Act by conducting research on legislation to regulate environmental labeling and advertising.

Cha & Kwon Law Offices' transactional team not only conducts transactions with administrative expertise and regulatory expertise, but also provides advice and services on the introduction of regulations by central and local governments.
