Security Tokens Will Soon Be Fully Allowed in Korea
In Korea, security tokens—securities built on blockchain technology—will be completely legal soon. Fractional investments in real estate and fine art will be made possible as the first step in institutionalizing the virtual asset market.
The head of the FSC passed regulatory reform agendas in the capital market sector at the 6th Financial Regulatory Innovation Meeting, which was held this morning on the 19th. These agendas included a regulatory framework for the issuance and distribution of security tokens and steps to increase access to the capital market for foreign investors.
